Our Activities
The basic directions of work carried out are related to:
- lead-acid batteries,
- lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries,
- nickel-metal hydride batteries,
- reserve batteries (special),
- fuel cells,
- electrochemical capacitors,
- new materials and new power generating systems,
- technology of chemical power source production processes,
- protection of the natural environment against harmful substances contained in used chemical power sources.
People and research infrastructure
The scientific staff uses their own experience when implementing research, scientific and research and development projects, both at the national and international level.
Modern equipment, specialized measurement equipment, as well as expert knowledge enable physicochemical tests of raw materials and materials, as well as electrochemical and electrical tests of batteries and accumulators.

- Scientific, research and development, technological and application works in the field of lithium cells and batteries, alkaline batteries (nickel-metal hydride, nickel-cadmium, nickel-zinc and silver-zinc), fuel cells, photovoltaic cells, flow cells and electrochemical capacitors;
- Development of hybrid power systems, including those using renewable energy sources;
- Making and testing model cells;
- Development and modification of technologies for producing chemical power sources;
- Design, implementation and production of model batches and prototypes of new types of accumulators and batteries;
- Analysis and expertise of materials and technologies in the field of chemical power sources;
- Electrical and electrochemical tests of products, dismantling analysis of accumulators and batteries;
- Preparation of technical concepts based on product specifications;
- Preparation of construction documentation and supervision of its implementation processes.

- Grinding of metallic materials by cyclic absorption-desorption of hydrogen from the gas phase;
