Our Activities

The center conducts research in the field of enrichment of mineral resources, primarily non-ferrous metal ores and coal, as well as waste and secondary raw materials.

We carry out modernization and technical and technological improvements in existing enterprises and design new processing plants

The center is a supplier of technologies and equipment for the non-ferrous metals industry. We develop and supply flotation machines and classification systems tailored to the needs of a specific customer.

The most important tasks include:

  • carrying out research and development work in the selection of technology and evaluation of the operation of flotation devices, development of enrichment technologies as guidelines for the design of new processing plants, providing qualitative and quantitative, water-sludge and machine diagrams,

  • laboratory and semi-technical analysis of screening, crushing, grinding, gravity enrichment, flotation enrichment, electrostatic enrichment and magnetic enrichment processes,

  • assessment and optimization of processing processes to increase their efficiency,
  • designing new and improving existing processing equipment,
  • testing the grain composition of various types of raw materials in a wide range of grain sizes,
  • developing technologies for the enrichment of ores and minerals, as well as waste and secondary raw materials,

  • research on new and improvement of existing processing machines and devices, in particular flotation machines and classifying and thickening hydrocyclones,
  • analysis of the potential of using mechanical processing methods in Urban Mining and circular economy.

Cooperation with industry

In cooperation with the industry, we have implemented projects whose results have a real impact on the business results of our partners Some of them are:

  • development of Cu ore enrichment technology and Zn-Pb,

  • use of IZ and IF series flotation machines and classifying and thickening hydrocyclones produced by ZAM-IMN.




  • modernization of mechanical processing of battery scrap to reduce costs and reduce environmental impact.

  • development of the design of modern classifying and thickening hydrocyclones equipped with a composite anti-abrasive lining based on silicon carbide.

  • development of a scheme for the production of Zn-Pb concentrate with increased Ag content from sludge after neutral leaching of Zn concentrates.

  • development of a production scheme for collective Zn-Pb concentrates from post-flotation waste,

  • introduction of galena flotation in the grinding circuit,

  • development of a production scheme for low-magnesium, selective Zn concentrates,

  • the use of carbamate reagents for selective blende flotation in ore processing plants

  • implementation of hydrocyclones for the classification of roasted blende leaching products,

  • modernization of ore preliminary screening systems to increase screening efficiency 

  • introduction of a separate Zn-Pb collective flotation process for ultrafine grains in order to reduce the lead content in the blended concentrate produced,

  • use of IF series flotation machines and classifying and thickening hydrocyclones produced by ZAM-IMN.

  • reducing the costs of copper ore processing by modernizing crushing, grinding and flotation,

The Mineral Raw Materials Processing Center is equipped with:

  • laboratory pilot installation for the enrichment of mineral raw materials (LPI),
  • a set of equipment for crushing, screening, grinding and classification – on a laboratory and semi-industrial scale
  • apparatus for analyzing grain composition using a Malvern laser granulometer, model Mastersizer 2000,
  • multihydrocyclone classifier Cyclosizer model M16 from MARC Technologies Pty Ltd.,
  • set for determining the Bond coefficient,
  • dry and wet magnetic separation kits,
  • sets for enriching very fine grain classes
  • laboratory concentration tables
  • system for enrichment in heavy suspension liquids
  • sets of flotation machines of various types and purposes (from laboratory to semi-industrial, mechanical, pneumomechanical, pneumatic-column),
  • device for cutting and separating cables, batteries and scrap,
  • a design workshop equipped with design software in the AUTO-CAD system.
