Technological and technical services
The scope of activity of the Department of Advanced Material Technologies focuses on many technological aspects covering the entire cycle of the materials production process, in particular in the field of:
- melting and casting process of non-ferrous metals and their alloys,
- plastic processing (extrusion, rolling, drawing),
- unit and continuous galvanizing,
- design and production of new alloys and composites,
- additive technologies (3D printing in metal),
- producing materials for certified reference materials,
- waste recycling.
Detailed technological offer:
- designing the chemical composition of alloys and composites
- the process of melting non-ferrous metals and their alloys using induction and resistance heating technology, including the refining process and protection of the liquid bath
- static casting process for metal and sand molds, continuous casting, centrifugal casting
- process of producing cast composite materials on a metal matrix reinforced with ceramic and carbon particles (Stir Casting)
- process of high-temperature pressure infiltration of sintered porous skeletons
- intensive SPD plastic processing processes carried out by extrusion using the KOBO method and cyclic bending using the RCS method
- plastic forming processes through unit dry and wet drawing, multi-stage wet drawing
- plastic forming processes through cold and hot static pressing
- plastic forming processes by cold rolling, hot rolling, slot rolling, profile rolling
- aheat treatment processes of non-ferrous metals and their alloys and steel of various sizes, including tarnish-free heat treatment in a protective and reducing atmosphere of 95% N2 / 5% H2
- process of refining the surface of wires by producing a sodium tetraborate coating (boraxing)
- unit and continuous hot-dip galvanizing processes
Manufacturing processes:
- production of two-component primary alloys from non-ferrous metals and their alloys with various chemical compositions
