We offer a range of technological services related to the processes of preparing liquid metal for casting, casting aluminum and its alloys and magnesium alloys into ingots for plastic processing, plastic processing processes of light metals, i.e. extrusion, rolling, forging, drawing and stamping, production of protective coatings on Al products and Mg, production of new materials based on light metals, processing and disposal of waste.

The main scope of this activity includes developments related to technology:

  • preparation of liquid metal for casting, casting aluminum and its alloys and magnesium alloys into ingots for plastic processing,
  • plastic processing processes of light metals, i.e. extrusion, rolling, forging, drawing and stamping,
  • production of new materials based on light metals,
  • production of protective coatings on Al and Mg products.

Preparing liquid metal for casting

Consulting on:

  • Development of procedures for preparing liquid metal;
  • Degassing, refining and removing metallic (Li, Na, Ca) and non-metallic impurities;
  • Grain modification and grinding;
  • Determining the impact of technological parameters on the final properties of semi-finished products and products;
  • Continuous and semi-continuous casting of ingots;

Production of new materials based on light metals

  • developing technologies for producing new materials based on light metals,
  • developing technologies for producing shaped elements – machine parts, parts for the automotive industry using both traditional and non-standard methods,
  • development of heat treatment technologies for light metal alloys – ingot homogenization parameters, supersaturation and aging parameters,
  • developing technologies for cold and hot rolling of aluminum alloys in order to obtain appropriate operational parameters (rolling technology for deep-drawn sheets, bimetallic and clad sheets…),
  • development of a technology for continuous extrusion on the CRE (Conform) wheel of aluminum and magnesium alloy shapes

Plastic processing of light metals

Consulting on:

  • Development of technologies for co-rotating and counter-rotating extrusion of products made of Al and Mg alloys in the form of bars, shapes, profiles or pipes intended for aviation and the automotive industry;
  • Selection of devices and equipment for the processes of co-rotating and counter-rotating extrusion of products made of Al and Mg alloys:
  • Developing technology for die forging of products made of Al and Mg alloys using extruded rods or ingots cast in a semi-continuous system as input materials, including ingots with a rheocast structure (thixoforging).
  • Support in the preparation and design of technological lines for drawing products from Al alloys (rods, wires, pipes):
  • Advice on the selection of Al and Mg alloys, heat treatment and manufacturing methods for specific applications in the transport, energy, electronics industries, etc.;
  • aModern technologies for the production of advanced materials and composites based on powder metallurgy of Al alloys

Production of protective coatings on Al and Mg products
