Centre of Analytical Chemistry is accredited by the Polish Accreditation Center for compliance with:
- PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”,
- PN-EN ISO 17034:2017-03 “General requirements for the competence of manufacturers of reference materials”.
The scope of AB 274 accreditation covers a wide range of specialized chemical tests, adapted to the needs of modern industry. The laboratories of the Analytical Chemistry Center offer comprehensive analyses of materials, products and raw materials, including:
- Testing of copper, concentrates, flotation products, copper ores and alloys and geological materials (sandstones, dolomites, copper-bearing shales), using classical methods, electrogravimetry, flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-OES.)
- Analysis of exhaust gas samples for metal content (As, Cd, Cr, Co, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sb, Tl, V, Zn) using mass spectrometry with ionization in inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS).
- Plastics tests, focusing on determining the content of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Hg) and solubilized chromium using the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) method. The laboratory also conducts the determination of chromium (VI) using UV-VIS and ICP-OES methods.
- Chemical analyses of impurities in metals and their alloys using the inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) technique,
- Tests of electrical and electronic equipment in the scope of limiting the use of hazardous substances indicated in the RoHS directive: polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and phthalates, using gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
The scope of the RM 006 accreditation includes the production of certified reference materials (CRM). Our specialization is the development of high-quality reference materials mainly for the non-ferrous metals industry.
The values of the reference material properties are assigned using various analytical methods. All analyses are performed in specialized Łukasiewicz-IMN and external laboratories, which guarantees the highest accuracy, repeatability and compliance with international standards.
