Advantages of using PolGrit abrasive

  • enables obtaining any degree of surface cleaning according to the Swedish standard SIS 055900-1967 and PN-70/H-97050
  • produced abrasive meets the requirements of DIN 8201 part 9 and TRGS-503
  • enables optimum surface roughness and development
  • provides the highest cleaning performance among non-metallic abrasives
  • consumption of PolGrit abrasive is much lower than the consumption of sand, and this difference increases as the degree of corrosion of the sheet metal increases.

Application of PolGrit abrasive

  • shipyards : cleaning of sheet metal, ship hulls, equipment
  • steel structures, bridges, viaducts, storage tanks, pipes, pipes, pipe transport
  • land and water structures, finishing of concrete elements of building facades, foundations, ceilings, cleaning of boiler heating surfaces
  • removal of old paint coatings, rust, scale, layers of plastic
  • preparation of metal surfaces for sets of chlorinated rubber, polyvinyl, epoxy, polyurethane and special antifouling paints and for metallization

The PolGrit® abrasive has received a test certificate from the Institute for Occupational Safety of Professional Associations – BIA – 4052220113.

According to the opinion of the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Sosnowiec, from the point of view of its harmfulness to health, PolGrit® abrasive is a much safer material than the traditional abrasives used so far, especially sand.

It is a chemically inert material, does not react with the treated surface and does not cause secondary corrosion.

It is non-flammable, non-hygroscopic and non-magnetic.

The polGrit® abrasive is certified for compliance with the PN-EN ISO 11126-3 standard, excluding the specific density parameter (item 6.2, table).

It does not contain petroleum substances.

PolGrit abrasive has been tested for the content of natural radioactive substances.
